So when the Chattanooga Bakery went looking for an agency, they had no trouble attracting 'branding experts' from across the country who were more than interested in doing the first MoonPie television campaign in the company's 117-year history. In the end, MoonPie came to Big River. Using a strategic foundation that positioned MoonPie's brand as the iconic taste of simpler, happier times, Big River created spots that showed the marshmallow-filled legend of snacks as the diametrical opposite of our stressful, hectic modern life. Big River also knew the highly sensitive nature of a classic, Southern brand such as MoonPie. That's why we used real people - not actors - to bring the genuine nature of MoonPie to life.
