September 12, 2005 Big River Hits the Big 04! Big River celebrated its fourth anniversary on September 10th. “We’ve kept a low profile,” stated President and Chief Guide Fred Moore. “Our focus has always been on our clients and their success.” “Our clients have trusted us,” said Creative Director Terry Taylor. "And it takes trust. Plus, there's nothing like watching the work actually work, dude.” Taylor pointed to campaigns for Anthem Blue Cross Blue Shield, Dominion, MoonPie, FAMIS, Harris Williams and McGuire Woods as examples of the types of clients Big River has attracted. “These are companies that understand the importance of branding and consistency,” Moore added, “ Instead of just ‘doing an ad’ they’ve understand that creating new platforms of communications is based on research, internal buy-in and THEN taking the new message to the public.” Terry Taylor added, “Yup. Pass the tape over here, dude.” Margaret Price, Managing Guide said, “Because most of us have worked together for years, we work well together and have years of common experience to draw upon.” “This is hard work,” added Communication Guide Jan Crable, “but we love what we do and we couldn’t imagine doing it anywhere else.” Instead of an anniversary party, Big River had made a donation to the Red Cross.
